Questions
What size should a beer label be?
It depends on the bottle or can. A 33 cl bottle takes a front label of about 70 × 80 mm, a 50 cl bottle 85 × 100 mm. A label all the way round a 33 cl can is 205 × 85 mm, a 16 oz can 206 × 127 mm. Pick your package and Brewlabel sets the size for you.
What paper should I print on?
Plain paper and a glue stick work, but label paper is easiest: a full sheet you cut yourself, or ready-cut sheets such as Avery L7165 (A4) or 5164 (US Letter). For bottles that go in the fridge or an ice bucket, water-resistant label paper lasts longer. Print the test with outlines on plain paper first and hold it against the sheet.
Does it cost anything?
No. Making, editing and downloading labels is free.
Do I need an account?
No. Without one, your labels stay in your browser. With a free account you can reach them from any device.
Can I make labels for cider, mead or wine?
Yes. Name the style and Brewlabel suggests designs that suit it. There are 75 cl wine bottles as well as beer bottles and cans.
Can I use the labels on beer I sell?
Yes. Pro checks the label against the labelling rules for your market and adds a barcode and deposit mark. You are still responsible for what the label says.
